Wood Hudson

Statewide Planning Manager, DRPT

 
Wood Hudson is the Statewide Transportation Planning Manager for the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, where he leads strategic transit planning and innovation projects, including Virginia’s first rural microtransit deployment. With a career spanning roles at DRPT, VDOT, and regional planning organizations, he brings extensive experience in transit and environmental planning. He holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College and a master’s in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.

Grant O'Connell

Senior Planner, Service Planning, TriMet


Grant O’Connell is a Senior Planner at TriMet in Portland, Oregon. Grant recently completed a complete bus network redesign, Forward Together, and is now updating TriMet’s long-range service plan. Branded Forward Together 2.0, this new comprehensive plan will include a network of prioritized BRT corridors, new or extended LRT corridors – including across an inter-state bridge, and an expanded bus network. Grant is also raising twin four-year-old boys with his husband of 12 years.

Gillian Gillett

Division Chief & Program Manager, Caltrans

 
Gillian Gillett runs Caltrans’ Division of Data and Digital Services as well as the California Integrated Mobility Program. In addition to helping Caltrans organize around the Customer and reify data, her mandate is to remove barriers between modes and within them, beginning with transit trip planning and payment. Before Caltrans, Gillian was Transportation Policy Director for San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee. Prior to public service, Gillian was a consulting business process reengineer to the financial services sector. She lives in San Francisco.

Joshua Panter

Partner Enablement, Via

 
Josh Panter leads the Remix Enablement Team, where he supports transit agencies in implementing cutting-edge technology to plan, optimize, and manage their transportation networks. A seasoned presenter at APTA conferences and webinars, he has presented on planning and launching multimodal transportation systems, and is an advocate for interagency collaboration. Josh has been with Via for 4 years and previously worked in research and analysis for both the private and public sectors.
