Remix March 2025: Direct Reliefs, Stop Management, and more.

From direct reliefs, to all-in-one stops management, and beyond, check out all the latest features that Remix released into the world's most comprehensive planning and scheduling software.

Scheduling

Direct Reliefs are now supported in Remix Scheduling.

General Availability. Schedulers can now set different types of reliefs (Direct, Walking, Vehicle, etc.) depending on your agency’s operational constraints, resources, and geography. This specificity, plus enhanced relief functionality at the stop level, results in more efficient schedules that abide by labor rules and contribute to better on-time performance.

Direct Reliefs

Planning

You can now ingest, view, update, and export all stop information in Remix.

General Availability. Network Places are now available to all! With this update, Remix is now your single, trusted source of truth for managing your stops data. Powerful new capabilities include:

  • Unified Network View: View all stops, garages, and parent stations in one consolidated map section.
  • Bulk Management Tools: Easily edit multiple fields, or delete places in bulk. Hint: use the map view to  bulk select (then edit or delete) places.
  • Advanced Filtering Options: Want to better understand your network? Filter by specific properties, like in-service vs unused stops to quickly narrow in on the place type you want to learn about.

Tell us what you think (without leaving Remix).

If you use Corridor or Predictive Runtimes, you may notice a pop-up box asking for your feedback on newly populated or updated Runtimes. We’re piloting these pop-ups for new features throughout the Remix platform so you can provide feedback more easily.

Fresh ACS and LEHD Data keeps your analyses current.

New data alert! New American Community Survey (ACS) demographic and Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics Data (LEHD) job data have been added to Remix. ACS data have been updated to 2019–2023 5-year estimates. LEHD data now contains employment data from 2013-2022. Read more about the data here.

Note: All old layers and stats have been archived, so projects with the old layers currently open will still be able to use them, but these layers cannot be added to any projects.

Customize relief durations and distances in a click.

More reliefs improvements for you. When Remix calculates the optimal runs for a set of bus trips, it can also assign drivers to relief trips: rides in a car or van that take each driver to or from the location where they'll start or end their shift. Schedulers can now override the duration and distance of these relief trips based on local knowledge of your streets and staff needs.
