You asked for it, we built it! We’ve been increasingly focused on features for large-scale planning. Interested in what’s new with Remix? Keep reading.

When planning across big teams and multiple regions, one thing becomes especially critical: a clear source of truth that makes collaboration simple across stakeholders.
That’s why we’ve invested in Current Service—a new Remix feature designed to be your team’s single view of the latest published service.
While onboarding the country of Estonia to Remix, we supported their transition across 90 planners, 25 regions, and 18,000 stops—giving a large planning organization with many stakeholders a smoother way to collaborate and publish in Remix.
So far, the team has published 180 service URLs. Here are the two new capabilities powering that scale: Current Service and a new Line Import experience within Remix.
If you manage your system’s information in Remix, the big question is: how do you know your work matches what everyone else is using?
By publishing the Current Service, you can confidently manage what your agency sees in Remix—so everyone stays aligned on what’s live.
Publish details like:
…directly to your Current Service, so the whole team can answer: “What’s the latest service version we published?”
Need to make a change? Jump in and publish updates anytime—your team will always have access to the latest feed. And when it’s time to share beyond Remix, you can still export your published service as GTFS.
Starting new work is easier when you don’t have to rebuild your foundation. With Line Imports, you can pull routes and timetables from:
…and use that as your starting point for a new project. It’s a practical time-saver, especially when you’re iterating season-to-season or building variations across regions.
When managing a network it’s often hard to answer simple questions like: Where is my service concentrated? Where are we overserving… or undeserving?
Stop Frequency now allows you to visualize this information instantly on your map. See your most frequent stops based on aggregate vehicles across all routes. You can also customize what “frequent” means for your network (10 minutes? 15?). Red dots highlight your highest-frequency stops.
The data points help you make key decisions. For example, if you see a busy corridor with high stop frequency, you can prioritize stop amenities like benches for the stops with the most service.
Now you can add custom stickers to your maps, like your agency logo or any image you want your team to see in the same place they’re making planning decisions.
Most teams use this for branding in presentations, but it’s just as useful for day-to-day coordination. For example, if you’re closing a stop for construction, you can:
These annotations add helpful context to your maps.
Plan across transit modes in one place to find efficiencies in your supply. View on-demand and fixed-route shifts side-by-side to build a unified driver schedule—and reduce costly gaps or overages.
Remix is powering end-to-end demand-response service management of Via services with Service Design. In a unified, map-based view, teams can see how services work together, analyze ridership patterns, and make updates in clicks—publishing changes instantly to demand-response operations and rider-facing tools.
Here’s an overview of what you can do:
Plus, demand analysis visualizations help you make continuous, rider-centric improvements to your network.
These new features are live—or coming soon—and we can’t wait to see how you use them. As always, we build Remix with your feedback, so let us know what you want to see next.
