With a microtransit service in place since 2018, the City of Lone Tree has always been forward-thinking when it comes to mobility. Their latest innovation? Consolidating technology and operations under the same provider, Via, in 2023. Both efficiency and reliability have improved under the unified solution, setting the stage for a 2024 expansion to neighboring Meridian.
For residents of this small city south of Denver, car-free commuting was a challenge: though regional transit connects Lone Tree to downtown Denver, getting to transit — or to jobs around Lone Tree — required a car. Microtransit is game-changing for Lone Tree residents, a large proportion of whom ride regularly. Job access has improved, and with more reliable Via-powered operations, ridership — and five-star ride ratings — have continued to grow.
