When shopping online, you want to ‘see’ where your order is at every single stage in transit and know exactly when you will get it. According to a survey conducted in France, Germany, the UK, and the US, 78% of customers expect full visibility into their home delivery services. 

And if logistics updates fall short? Customers say they will not hesitate to switch to other shopping platforms.

Nearly half of online shoppers think estimated time of arrival (ETA) is the most important information to know when waiting for a delivery, while 29% of respondents regard real-time updates on drivers’ location as the top concern. Notably, groceries rank as the #1 category (59%) in which consumers are more likely to switch brands if delivery updates fail to meet their expectations, ahead of household products (53%) and fashion (40%).
