Via’s Vision for SDRT

 

Smart Demand Responsive Transport (SDRT) is a modern solution to a long-standing problem - high costs and low utilisation of certain fixed route bus services. Via uses powerful routing algorithms to connect rural riders to essential services, provide an accessible transport alternative for elderly passengers and passengers with disabilities, and bring more urban and suburban people on to the public transport network by providing efficient first and last mile transport.

Since 2016, Via has established over 150 partnerships with transport authorities in Europe, offering a range of services. This includes regional transportation with Transport for Wales and the Government of Luxembourg, connecting rural areas in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, and Dial-a-Ride services in cities like London, Paris, and the West Midlands. Across different locations and needs, partners depend on Via for top-tier mobility solutions.
